Attestation of documents by Advocate in Qatar

The government agencies and authorities in Europe prescrbe true copy attestation or certification by a Lawyer for the Documents such as affidavit, power of attorney executed in other Countries like Qatar or other jurisdictions.  This attestation or certification will be as prescribed by the concerned authorities that receive the particular document.  In the event of executing an affidavit or power of attorney by a foreigner in Qatar he/she can execute the document in front of a Lawyer in Qatar and later on it can be legalized in their jurisdiction.  Thus such documents will be a valid document as per the law of their home jurisdiction.

This attestation/ certification service can be used for education certificates, marriage certificates, declarations, authorizations, power of attorney, affidavits and such other documents. The acceptance of such documents will be exclusively the jurisdiction of the authorities in the concerned countries.

The sworn affidavit, vakalat and power of attorney to be used in India can be executed in front of the consulate general in Indian Embassy in Qatar or in the Indian consulate of the residence.

Indian Expatriates who are residents in Qatar will be looking for notary in Qatar for attesting documents like ID, salary certificate, bank statement, sworn statements, affidavit, Vakalat nama (Vakalath) etc to submit in India before various authorities such as banks, government departments and Court of law.  In such circumstances attestation from Lawyer is accepted in India.  This attestation may be cross verified by authorities in the concerned countries by contacting the Lawyer who had attested the documents.

Rental Disputes in Qatar - Termination of lease without notice?

The disputes between landlord and tenant with regard to the commercial or residential building are resolved at the Rental Dispute Resolution Committee in Qatar.  This committee is resolving the rental disputes under Law No.4 of 2008 regarding property leasing.   As per Article 15 of Law No.4 of 2008 a lease deed shall be terminated at the end of the term specified in the agreement.  Moreover Article 582 of Law No.22 of 2004 regarding Promulgating he Civil Code says that  Lease is a contract under which the landlord enables the tenant to benefit from a particular item for a fixed period of time in return for a financial compensation.  So it is clear from these provisions of law that the lease contract is confined by time.  It is worth noting Article 625 Civil Law that the lease shall terminate upon the expiry of its term as stated therein without notice to vacate, unless it is agreed to extend the lease for a fixed or other term if no specif...
